Llanwrtyd Wells Hotel Scoops Top Award
Lasswade hotel in Llanwrtyd Wells, owned and run by Roger and Emma Stevens, has won a prestigious award for their commitment to locally sourced food, the environment and organic produce. They were presented with the Promoting Sustainable Food Award (Rural Category) at the Considerate Hotel of the Year Awards in London.

Lib Dems challenge Government and Conservatives to support “in or out” referendum
Roger Williams, Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, is calling on the Government and Conservatives to back the campaign for an “in or out” Euro referendum. The party say the referendum would be an opportunity for the British public to determine whether Britain should continue to be a member of the European Union or not.

Roger Williams MP has regular meetings with the Police on many matters ranging from the speed of traffic going through rural villages to allegations of anti-social behaviour which can blight people’s lives. Over the Christmas holidays he arranged to go out on patrol with the police in various locations throughout Brecon and Radnorshire including a night out with Brecon Police Patrol.

Over complicated form causes financial distress - Williams
Roger Williams MP recently addressed a packed meeting at the Rhosgoch Golf Club. The meeting was attended by over 80 farmers representing almost fifty farming business’ in the Painscastle/Rhosgoch area. All of the farmers that attended have been seriously affected by the common land element of the Single farm payment application form and the boxes which are used to indicate if farming business have rights for horses and ponies.
