MP BACKING C.A.B. CAMPAIGN ON BENEFITS
Despite growing anxiety about the rising cost of living, too many people are still missing out on money they are entitled to, according to Brecon & Radnorshire's MP, Roger Williams.

The MP is backing the national campaign being run by the Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) to urge people to get information and advice about their benefits entitlements and act now to get the money they are owed.

MP AMAZED AT REVENUE'S TAX OFFICE TACTICS
HMRC Unable To Identify Savings From Closure Programme, Says MP

Answers to Parliamentary Questions posed by Roger Williams, Liberal Democrat MP for Brecon & Radnorshire, about the future of the Brecon Tax Office have revealed that Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has made its proposals for the closure of tax offices across Wales without any idea of how much money it will cost or save.

HIGH COURT VERDICT IN TB TABLE VALUES CASE TO BE WELCOMED – WILLIAMS
Commenting today on the High Court judgement in the TB test value case (R (on the Application of Partridge Farms Limited) v The Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), Roger Williams MP, Liberal Democrat Food and Rural Affairs Spokesperson, has urged the Government not to appeal the decision.

ROGER WILLIAMS BACKS END CHILD POVERTY CAMPAIGN
Roger Williams MP demanded that the Government ends child poverty as he signed up to the “Keep the promise” campaign”. He called on people to back the campaign and demand a better future for children in Brecon and Radnorshire.

DVLA PRIZE DRAW MOVE 'FURTHER BLOW TO POST OFFICE' SAYS MP

ROGER WILLIAMS MP MEETS WITH LOCAL HAULIERS ON FUEL DUTY LOBBY
Roger Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, yesterday met Mike and Simon Gough of AE Gough, Llandrindod Wells, and Gethyn Powell, Phil Davis and Tony Jones, all hauliers from the Brecon area, who had travelled to Westminster to take part in the lobby of parliament on the issue of fuel duty.

“The sun may be shining but tackling Fuel Poverty is at top of agenda” says Williams
Roger Williams MP has called for further action to be taken to tackle Fuel Poverty. Roger said “It may seem strange talking about fuel poverty during the summer months but action must be taken now to tackle the price rises faced by older people for oil and L.P.G. It is widely predicted that energy prices will have risen by 40% by the end of the year this could potentially lead to almost 1 in 5 households living in fuel poverty”.
