WILLIAMS VOWS TO RESIST CALL BOX CULL
Brecon & Radnorshire's Liberal Democrat MP, Roger Williams, has said that he will continue to strongly resist any attempt by BT to close down more telephone boxes in his vast, rural constituency after BT revealed plans to shut 94 public call boxes in Brecon & Radnorshire. His commitment comes just four years after he led a successful campaign against a similar BT cull, which saved scores of call boxes threatened with closure.

BARNETT BOMBSHELL MAKES CASE FOR REVIEW - WILLIAMS
Speaking after the release of Government papers which suggest that Wales has been underfunded by hundreds of millions of pounds over the last 30 years, Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Roger Williams MP has renewed his call for a review into the controversial Barnett formula.

ROGER WILLIAMS MP CALLS FOR RURAL FUEL REBATE
Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Wales Roger Williams MP is today calling on the Government to obtain a derogation from the EU so that they can introduce a fuel rebate for those living in rural areas, as new Welsh Liberal Democrat research shows that parts of Wales are paying more for their petrol.

DEFRA MINISTERIAL CONFUSION TO BLAME FOR PROBLEMS AT RPA– WILLIAMS
Commenting today on conflicting Written Ministerial Statements (WMS) on the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) from the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Roger Williams MP, Liberal Democrat Food and Rural Affairs spokesperson, has criticised the confusion amongst DEFRA Ministers for the problems within the RPA.

ROGER WILLIAMS MP BACKS BILL BRYSON'S LITTER CAMPAIGN

HIGH STANDARD OF FARRIERY MUST BE MAINTAINED - WILLIAMS

ROGER WILLIAMS MP ATTACKS 'CONFUSION' OF POST OFFICE COMMUNICATIONS
Brecon & Radnorshire's Liberal Democrat MP, Roger Williams, has criticized what he describes as the 'confusion and mixed messages' coming out from Post Office Ltd, following the announcement yesterday (Monday) of its decisions on the future of the post office network in Mid Wales.

Local post offices in Mr. Williams's constituency have received a letter from Post Office Ltd indicating that even those not previously considered for closure or change are still under review.

AM & MP fight to Save Crosfield House
Kirsty Williams AM, for Brecon and Radnorshire, will today join local campaigners at a public meeting and demonstration in County Hall, Llandrindod Wells, to speak out in support of Crosfield House Care Home in Rhayader.

The British Legion has opened a consultation on the future of the care home following funding difficulties.

POST OFFICES - MP & AM URGE CONSTITUENTS ‘USE THEM OR LOSE THEM’
Reprieve for Tremont and Pendre Welcomed – Closures Deeply Regrettable Say Lib. Dems.

Brecon & Radnorshire’s Liberal Democrat MP Roger Williams and AM Kirsty Williams have expressed their deep regret at Post Office Ltd’s announcement that it is to go ahead with the closure of Cwmgiedd, Evenjobb, Llanfaes and Ridgebourne post offices. Erwood, Merthyr Cynog, Llandefaelog, Gladestry, and Pantydwr Post Offices will close with an outreach service operating in those communities. We warmly welcome the reprieve offered to Pendre Post Office in Brecon and Tremont Post Office in Llandrindod Wells. This is a tribute to the support that these businesses have had from these communities.

WILLIAMS IN CAMPAIGN TO SAVE SMALL ABATTOIRS
Brecon & Radnorshire’s Liberal Democrat MP and Shadow Secretary of State for Wales, Roger Williams, is to raise the plight of small abattoirs in Parliament in the wake of changes to be made by the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS) to its inspection charges. The MHS is proposing to levy an hourly flat-rate charge rather than the current per-carcass charge, a move that will see massive increases in charges on small abattoirs at a time when they are already struggling with increased costs and ever-increasing regulation.

ROGER WILLIAMS MP CALLS FOR CUT IN RURAL FUEL PRICES

WELSH LIB DEMS TAKE POST OFFICE FIGHT TO WESTMINSTER
Ahead of next week’s expected announcement on the proposed closure of Post Offices across Mid Wales, the Welsh Liberal Democrat MPs for the region are taking the fight to Westminster.

On Wednesday, Brecon and Radnorshire MP Roger Williams will lead a debate that he has secured on Post Office closures in Mid Wales. All three Welsh Liberal Democrat MPs in Mid Wales will be looking to contribute to the debate.
