DELIGHT AS COMMON SENSE FROM POST OFFICE PREVAILS - WILLIAMS

11.20.12am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 9th Oct 2008

Brecon and Radnorshire MP, Roger Williams. has called the decision by Post Office Ltd to situate the new Outreach Service for Llanwrtyd Wells in the car park of Belle Vue Hotel 'common sense'.

Mr Williams said "Local representatives and customers for the new Outreach Service for Llanwrtyd Wells have been lobbying Post Office Ltd for some time over the sitting of the new service. It was very disappointing to the residents of Llanwrtyd Wells to have lost their post office service in the latest round of cuts. However Post Office Ltd decided to replace the service with an Outreach mobile service. There was great concern as to where this service would be situated but I am delighted that following a number of discussion with Post Office Ltd they have now agreed to site the Outreach Service in the Car park at the Belle Vue Hotel. Listening to the customers has helped common sense to prevail".

The Outreach Service in Llanwrtyd Wells is scheduled to start this week.

Mr Williams said "It is vital that the community support the Outreach Service. I hope that it proves to be a success and I look forward to visiting the Outreach Service myself to see the services it provides".
